Before there was a book or an apparel brand, there was the work of learning how to carry more responsibility.
I've spent more than 30 years leading people under real pressure, from food service and retail, to the Army as a counterintelligence agent, to government contracting and business. I was handed bigger roles, made mistakes, learned from them, and had to figure out how to lead when doing the work myself was no longer enough.
Not all of it was growth on our terms. We've lived through tragedy. We've been mistreated by people and systems we trusted. There were seasons when it would have been easier to stay down.
We didn't. Shaindel has spent more than 20 years in adult education, helping people grow into bigger versions of themselves, and together we decided that what we went through wouldn't be the end of the story. It would be the reason for the next chapter.
I wrote Crossing the Divide to put words to part of that journey. Blue Stallion Apparel is the next part. Some pieces come from ideas in the book. Some come from the conversations that followed it. All of them are reminders of what it means to get back up, decide where you're going, and say it out loud.
This isn't just clothing. It's a movement for people who've been knocked down and chose to rise anyway. If that's you, you belong here.
